Viewing Linux partition from M$

I've had a search around to see if this has been covered but to no avail ... I have a system which dual boots win98se and linux with absolutely no probs... one hard drive with linux's partitions and a windows partition . i can see the windows partition in linux, but cant figure out how to see the linux partition from win98 ... do i need some program to read it or something ?

any insight would be appreciated ..

also while im here, is is possibly to run flight simulator under linux? thank you

dave

Ive reasearched this issue as well doesnt look possible. Although things change in a blink! if your trying to share files between them you will have to save or move them on win side of the partition Besides would you really want a m$ product to be able to read & write to your nix partition.
Not I

On the other issue try WineX theres a $5 for three month subscription. But I hear it does a good job with games

Windows certainly doesn't have that capability itself, but a third-party utility called Explore2fs is supposed to be able read ext2fs (and possibly ext3) partitions, although it doesn't support writes.
Check out the home page, and be sure to read the info carefully.

I haven't heard of any other utilities which do what you want, although they might be out there.

Just a thought, but in the options for Explore2fs you can change the partition type to view. Has anyone here tried using Explore2fs to view BSD partitions, HPFS, NTFS, whatever?
