Question using custom fonts for console apps

I just got some cool fonts (art-wiz I think they are called) working for fluxbox and im wondering if there is anyway I can get them to work in console programs (xchat/eterm/xterm) did a quich search and couldnt find much. Xchat has an option to change fonts but none of mine are in there. I used the font install instructions on the Fluxbox home page and set it up just for my main user (not for the other 3) might that have something to do with it? Ive seen photos of peoples screenshots on the net and they have the fonts working so im sure its possible.
P.S. My fonts are installed in /~/.fonts if it makes any difference.

For example to open xterm I use command:
xterm -title xTerminal -geometry 94x40 -bg black -fg green -vb -fn -cronyx-fixed-medium-r-normal-*-*-140-*-*-c-*-koi8-r
it uses this font
