Two newbie questions - Custom Fonts, and KDE

Okay, let's get my stupidest question out of the way first. I tried a search but nothing came up, so if I missed something, feel free to smack me. During the Slackware install, I chose a custom font for the shell screen... then realized it looked awful once resolution changed. How does one go about changing it again?

Also, I installed everything... including KDE, which I was going to give another chance, but I still just don't like it. What's the best (and most complete way) of eradicating it and all its packages from my system?

Thanks in advance!

To remove KDE from your system just use pkgtool. As root type in pkgtool, then select remove, and then select all of the kde* packages.

Doh, I forgot to explain myself more. Wanted to ask, will pkgtool remove all the KDE packages together, or will I need to choose them all? If so, are the only packages KDE-specific the ones in the kde folder of the second CD?

Thanks for the reply. )

You can uninstall pretty much everything that starts with kde* or arts*. I would keep the QT though for things like "make xconfig" for kernel and control panel for ATI.

Great to know, thanks.

Anyone have an idea about changing the custom font for shell? I know it's trivial, but I'm an aesthetic ho.

Found the answer... boy do I feel stupid.

If you run pkgtool, there's an option to re-execute setup scripts. The console font script is one of them you can run again.
