user's access to internet

I would like to know how to let a user access the internet using Kppp without having to enter the root password.

This is a pc at home so I'm not worried about security for this. Just want my kid to be able to get on the internet without the root password.

Thanks,
James

If I remove /usr/bin/kppp what exactly am I removing. Will I have to reconfigure KPPP?

These are newbie questions but I would really like to know what is happening.

Thanks for the help.

rm /usr/bin/kppp

removes a link to consolehelper that brings up the root passwd prompt in redhat

ln -s /usr/sbin/kppp /usr/bin/kppp

creates a link to the program in your path in redhat

chmod 4755 /usr/sbin/kppp

sets SUID bit on kppp
