Use a LiveCD to edit BIOS?

My computer's fine, and is running Puppy Linux happily, but I'm having trouble entering my BIOS menu (I forget the access key, and no matter which keys I try, Puppy Linux boots up).

Is it possible to edit BIOS settings from a LiveCD?

Maybe but as far as I know you cannot edit bios settings from any live disk.

I think I can help you to access your BIOS. Please provide brand and type of your motherboard.

OK, I was able to access BIOS. It seems that F2 worked, but I needed to press it earlier than I had been.

By the way, the PC I was working on is a Dell Dimension 4100.
