Yeah, but you might want to make the /boot partition bigger than normal, since youre gonna have two kernel, not counting backups you may have over time. What you should do is seperate you /home directory from /, so you can share that as well, and have all your music/movies/pr0n/etc..

Well, i lost the mandrake distro...

I try to edit grub.conf to boot from the mandrake partition and it fail...
rootnoverify (hd0,1)
chainloader +1

Error 13: Invalid or unsuported executable format

This is the same for every existing partition else than Fedora

Dude - dual booting 2 distros is fairly common. You can share the swap partition between both distros, but I would NOT recommend trying to share any of the other partitions (for instance, I would not try to share a single /usr between A and B)

There are numerous threads regarding how to set up a dual boot system, you might want to use the Search function to locate them. Good luck with the project. -- J.W.

Should i use a unique /boot partition?
i partitioned the distro with 4 part:
a /boot, a / for mandrake, a / for fedora and one swap part for both

i also have a couple of fat and ntfs part as that system also boot w98, w2000server, xp pro and w2003 server...
