Tightvnc and Xvnc on Suse 9.1 Pro

I'm running the standard Xvnc server that ships with Suse 9.1 PRO. I'm having an issue connecting to it.

I have both Tight VNC and Real VNC installed at work on XP. I can connect to my Linux box with the Real VNC client but when I use the Tight VNC client it will not connect. I have tried this on varioius other machines with no luck connecting.

I can connect to the java server but I'd rather use the client.

What am I doing wrong?

I'm running these packages:

kdenetwork3-vnc 3.2.3-3
tightvnc 1.2.9-177
Xfree86-Xvnc 4.3.99.902-40

*bump*

I'm having the same issue. However, here's more detail.

Xvnc running on SuSE 9.1 Pro

Connecting machines
WinXP - vncviewer (v3.3.7): Opens a connection to the SuSE box and works as expected.
WinXP - vncviewer (v4.0): Opens a connection to the SuSE box, does not display anything. It leaves the vncviewer.exe task hanging out in the backend with a connection open to the SuSE box and it must be killed through the Task Manager.
FC2 - vncviewer (v4.0 release 1.beta4.11): Opens a connection to SuSE and xterm messages, "Server supports RFB protocol version 3.130". The next console message is, "Using RFB protocol version 3.7" d'oh! That looks like a problem.

Looks like we need to upgrade our SuSE 9.1 Pro VNC version! Too bad I can't via Yast.
