Hya,
Situation:
Two Debian squeeze, one laptop, the other headless.
ssh from laptop to headless, start gimp.
Error:
Code:
>gimp
The program 'gimp' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadAccess (attempt to access private resource denied)'.
(Details: serial 2165 error_code 10 request_code 139 minor_code 5)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
Then gimp fails. If start gimp again, everything goes well (I do not know why)
Troubleshooting:
Similar to
this thread , MIT-SHM looks like problematic.
Code:
#xdpyinfo -queryExt | grep 139
MIT-SHM (opcode: 139, base event: 77, base error: 145)
then (however)
Code:
#ipcs -ma | grep ^m
does not point any suspicious process (or whatever) (neither laptop nor headless)
Question:
What can I do next?
If memory allocation is problem, why second gimp goes well?
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Happpy Penguins!
