I am installing SuSe 8.1 and im one step away from the login screen. But when it starts the final loading after the Hardware config it gets to, "Starting Kernel PCMCIA" and freezes. What to do?

I am on a Compaq labtop, pleanty of memory, disk space and a good processor. I do have windows xp on it too but the duelboot is working. What to do?

check you bios settings under the pcmcia section, it's probably set to 'auto', set it to cardbus or pcic compat. basically anything but auto.
