SSHD NOT to send rsa fingerprint

HI all,

i want my sshd server to be as secure as possible,

i tried no root login and that's fine but i wonder if sshd didn't send the fingerprint to a new host.. can that be done? would that be a good idea?

i'm sorry for such a basic question but man and google didn't help much...

thanks

Not sure of that. If you set it to only except passphrases ( no passwords )then it may not detail anything. Other thing that may help ( not related to the fingerprint ) is use a differnt port other than port 22 to something else like say port 1920 or something.

Thanks Brian on your reply,

actually what i meant was to keep the password but to add the fingerprint manually to the known hosts on the client side

keep the server from sending it automatically.

what you suggested was already done
