sound issues

I've just recompiled my kernel and now im getting this error...

/lib/modules/2.4.20/kernel/drivers/sound/emu10k1/emu10k1.o: Unresolved symbol ac97_probe_codec
/lib/modules/2.4.20/kernel/drivers/sound/emu10k1/emu10k1.o: Unresolved symbol ac97_read_proc

this is the output of insmod emu10k1. any ideas??

Exclamation Same as the other post i've made...
Hey!... Samething over here...

I've been tweaking my kernel configuration (but forgot to save the original configuration file... Now, I only have the original kernel bzImage only!) and got the same trouble... But with an i810 audio onboard...

I wanted to remove most of the stuff my compu doesn't need so to have a smaller kernel...

The only way I could get back is by having the Original Kernel "Alternate Configuration File" for "make menuconfig"...
