When I installed RedHat 9.0 on my PC the screen and everything looks great, but when I install Slackware 8.1 at the top of the screen it kind of slants. I printed out the XFree86 config file and copied all the settings ( I think I copied all the important ones ) to Slackwares XFree86 config file, but its still slanted at the top. Does anyone have an idea how I can fix this?
I had a similar problem.
Try
xvidtune
and put its values in XF86Config
If that doesn't work rerun your X configuratioin software. Check slackwares site but I think it's XF86Setup.
It has nothing to do with the monitor itself. I've tried to adjust it manually, but Ive come to the conclusion that its something to do with X Windows.
