Slanting Screen

When I installed RedHat 9.0 on my PC the screen and everything looks great, but when I install Slackware 8.1 at the top of the screen it kind of slants. I printed out the XFree86 config file and copied all the settings ( I think I copied all the important ones ) to Slackwares XFree86 config file, but its still slanted at the top. Does anyone have an idea how I can fix this?

On some monitors you can fix this kind of problem with the controls on the front of the monitor.

this is a setting on your monitor, most likely not to do with X. Check the buttons on your monitor to see if you can adjust this.

I had a similar problem.
Try
xvidtune
and put its values in XF86Config
If that doesn't work rerun your X configuratioin software. Check slackwares site but I think it's XF86Setup.

Make sure you put in the correct monitor values.

It has nothing to do with the monitor itself. I've tried to adjust it manually, but Ive come to the conclusion that its something to do with X Windows.
