At work we have two old Silicon Graphics machines. Since they run IRIX, I am assuming that they will probably run Linux. I cannot find any relevent documentation specs on the computers. Does anyone know what distribution might work?
I am sorry, I meant to put that information in the first post. They are an Indigo2 and an O2 around 1995 - 1997 models. I did find out they have MIPS processors. I am very new to Linux and this may be over my head, but I thought I might try to see if I could resurect these machines that are just sitting idle.
Thank you. This may be more than I can chew. But it gives me a start.
Something to play with on my lunch hour and bang my head against the wall for pleasure.
