setting up home email account

Hello everyone, I am trying to set up an email account from my home. So far I have so my email address is *******@*******.****. I can send mail from it with pine, I sent an email to my current email account and when I checked it I had email from John Greenwood (********@*******.****). I replied to this email and checked my inbox in pine, there was nothing. I tried fetchmail and it said:

fetchmail: No mailservers have been specified.

How do I know what my mailserver is? and how do I tell fetchmail?

Thanks

John

Your mail server is the one you connect to to get your mail, e.g. pop3.example.com. Run the program fetchmailconf to set up your Fetchmail config file, it should be pretty self-explanatory.

Also, don't put your email address on here as you'll end up getting spammed.

I'll remove my address. If I run fetchmailconf, I have no Idea what I am supposed to put in there, I don't know my mailserver.
