using multiple email programs for one email account

I would like to use both Thunderbird and Kmail for the same POP3 email account. I have seen an article online in the past (possibly on NewsForge) with detailed instructions on how to do this, but I cannot find it or any other articles like it. Anyone out there know how to do this smoothly or know where to find good directions? Thanks.

What you probably need to do is set them both up to use a standard format for e-mail that they both can understand.

Probably using the mbox format, and set them both to use the same folders. How exactly I don't know thunderbird that well. So I think your going to have to do a little research
