Setting Baud Rate on Comm2 Question
I am trying to change the default baud rate on Comm2 port ( we have a printer hooked up to it)
If I enter stty 19200 -F /dev/ttyS1 I can change the baud rate for that session. As soon as I reboot the box it reverts back to 9600. I have tried to " modify both the setserial & setup232 files in /etc/inte.d/boot.d with no success. I can run each of these manually from a command prompt with my changes & they change the baud rate with no problem.
Since I really don't need to run this with a daemon, there is really no need to run it in boot.d. I tried to add the following line to the .xinitrc for the user :
/usr/local/bin/set_tty which contains the above mentioned stty 19200 command.
It runs as the logging on user & changes the baud rate but on reboot it reverts back to 9600.....
Any ideas as to what I am missing?
Thanks,
Steve
