Set Default Ethernet Card

Hi Guys,
I recently installed RH 7.3 on a pc which has 2 Ethernet Cards. I tried to ping another machine on the network but it
keeps going through eth1 as opposed to eth0.
Is ther a way to configure the machine so the by default
it goes through eth0.

Thanks!

It depends on your routing table. What does your 'route' command say?

using this command: ifconfig, if you want to get more informations about this command, by typing : man ifconfig. Or you can change it in the GNOME control center. set your first netcard (etho) to 192.168.1.1/255.255.255.0 . you
can find this relevant topic in www.google.com

Not exactly. Ifconfig shows your interfaces. The command to show routing table is 'route'. So to see it open a terminal, log as root (suing su command and entering root password) and type
route
Your current routing table will be shown.
