Angry Sendmail error

In the boot log just before the login screen I am getting a message in "Send-mail" that says : Makefile has modification time in the future. clock skew detected build may be incomplete.
What does this mean and how can I fix it?

make sure your clock is correct and check the timestamps on this file, which is probably in /etc/mail/ (ls -l /etc/mail)
