RH8 how do i make a new boot disk

I made a boot disk when i installed but since then i've updated the kernel. I need to make an updated boot disk for the new kernel. When i go into my terminal and type mkbootdisk i get

mkbootdisk: mkbootdisk: No such file or directory

When i switch to the /sbin dir that has the mkbootdisk file in it and try it i get

bash: mkbootdisk: command not found

plz help!!!!

How do i make a boot disk in Red Hat 8.0 ??????

if you do this

su -

then enter your root password you will be able to use the command

the problem is the /sbin folder is not in your path, and you do not normally have permission to use files in the /sbin folder

when running a command that you have permission to execute you will need to enter the path to the file if it's not in your $PATH

/sbin/mkbootdisk

or if you cd to the /sbin folder the correct path would be ./

so you need to use this

./mkbootdisk
