I try to move email messages (which cause page fault error on one of old computer using outlook 97) to other folder for troubleshooting. But after that i move mesg back to the cur directory and my outlook client keep saying Error:message is Gone! Is there anyway i can make the postfix(our mail server) to recognise them as new message again (so the outlook can receive them)?
Are you using POP or IMAP to retrieve email? This sounds more like the querky weird issues older versions of Outlook had, I'd just suggest using a different updated email client or an updated verison of Outlook.
I use pop. Its probably after i moved the messsage to different folder then .../Maildir/cur , the index files sorta mismatch (maybe whenever email received there is some kind of timestamp)?
This moving-message-error occured at outlook 2002 as well. So, i dont' think version make much different (i have sp3)

Well I've seen later versions of Outlook cause strange issues after moving mail around on the server, especially when dealing with IMAP. Can I suggest using a totally different mail client then?
