Question regrding rm command


i m doing searching on rm command.

I want to know how rm command works internally.
if u know please tell i will be very thankful to you.

i want to know functons used by rm command to remove filename and pointer from its directory block.
Second,how the kernel frees up file's data blocks for general use.
Third, how the kernel frees up the file's indexing record, or inode, for general use.

A quick look at man rm would have told you that rm is part of the coreutils suite. You will find the source code at www.gnu.org.
