I have installed windows XP on my hard disk.
After installing windows i installed Mandrake LINUX 9.1
After successful installation when i restarted

Menu came

there was one more that i don't remem.

Now the problem is when i again installed WINDOWS this menu get lost and now everytime i start my PC no option menu is there directly windows starts.
As linux is still on my PC but the option is lost.

By BOOTING floppy i can start my LINUX but there is no menu.

According to me when i again installed windows it overwrited the bootloader configuration.

Now the problem is i want that menu back what should i do to get back without installing linux again......

Hello,
boot the system using the bootable i.e first cd of your mandrake distro.
restore the grub/lilo ( what ever you have ) and then you will get everything working as it was.
for details....

You killed the Bootloader when you re-installed Windows.

Note that the Linux installer should give you the option of putting the bootloader on floppy---this way Windows is undisturbed.

But its really frustrating to boot again n again from floppy.

I basically want that menu back which give option of
Linux
windows
failsafe

You are not following the instructions given in the link i've stated in earlier post.
And its such a trivial problem that using google only you could have found the answer.
