Red face Reapir file system error

when i boot the system the following error comes .

*** An error occurred during the filesystem check.

*** Dropping you to a shell; the system will reboot

*** when you leave the shell.

Give root password for maintenance

(or type Control-D for normal startup):

i am using linux 7 with ext2 filesystem i have ran the fsck command several times and it goes well then after running command following prompt remains

(repair filesysten) 2 #

tell me now what to do after running the fsck command . i have restarted the system but the problem persists

please reply me soon
