problem executable

Hello,

I have a problem to run my executable since I updated my redhat version from 6.2 to 7.1. Everytimes I want to run an executable a message is saying command not found. I will have to recompile all my programs if I want ot solve this problem and some of them crashes when I try to recompile them. If anybody has any suggestion??

Thanks

stephane

Did any path statements change after you upgraded? If so you could try creating links from the path of the old program to where it now resides and see if that works.

problem executable

I didn't change any of my path statement when I updated my redhat version to 7.1. Moreover, I am still getting this "command not found" message even if I tried to run the old executable from its own directory. The executable is present in the directory and it has all the permissions required (executable..) but nevertheless redhat 7.1 does not seem to recognize that the file is an executable. (library problem???)

Thanks for your help

I assume you've tried running the command using a fully qualified path? I.E., /bin/ls or cd to the /bin directory and run ./ls. If any of that works it's a problem with your path and 7.1 does see it as executable, if it doesn't it could be a library problem.
