Printing in linux using windows printer drivers

Ok, I've given up on trying to make my printer work on linux (C3-1000 compaq). It's just not gonna work.
Anyway, My printer works fine in windows, so I'm thinking of somehow getting the printer to use the windows drivers while still in linux.

As of now, I have a dual boot system, and have a mounted windows partition that I can access under linux, and I have "wine 20030813"

I'm ready for suggestions, hacks, solutions, anything would be greatly appreciated. bring it on

I was wondering if this would work as well. I have a Konica-Minolta 1350W which the manufacturer does not release a linux driver for. Is there any way to somehow finaegle a windows driver into working?

As for stupid_guy, you're screwed unless someone ports the driver for using Windows printer drivers on OS/2 to Linux.
