anyone want to help me write some ppp dial-up scripts by hand? i'm trying to get that damn little modem-lights applet to work on my gnome panel so i don't need to open up a terminal and run wvdial everytime i connect. the man pages were written by sadists, and i can't find any good online pages. on the other hand, i have a nice little chianti here, so it all balances out. but i'd still like to get the applet working. any advice?
that page got me sorted out. You might get better results from using mserver, a network dialer, but only on one machine, so you just connect to your self, the client only works for gnome tho.. but it works really well.
actually, i just wanted to get the button working so i don't need to remind by boyfriend how to spell 'wvdial' everytime he wants to use my computer. "just push this button instead..." it will make my life easier.
the page looks good on first glance tho... i'll give it a test run-through when i have some time later today.
