Question Playing .FLV files off a CD

I have a piece of software written in Flash that I am trying to port to linux. If I post my stuff on the web it all plays fine in a firefox browser over the web, but when I try to play it locally on a CD-ROM it won't play the .FLV files - they just don't load. The .SWF files play just fine - does anyone know what might be the problem with the FLV files?
