PHP / Apache problem


My apache won't process PHP pages. I configured it according to how everyone says, but yet its still not working. I did the load module thing and all of that. No worky.

Also.. i installed webmin, and when i try to 'start apache' it says

Failed to start apache :

Starting httpd: [ OK ]

So you're through with mysql, I guess.

Do you have a line like

AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
in you httpd.conf file?

Yes - I finally got MySQL installed and working, thanks to you =)

As far as having that in my file, yes i do.

I pretty much did what http://www.brtnet.org/linux/lamp.htm said when i installed php/apache.

I can view files fine, just not php files.


edit: I'm just going to reinstall the OS and do the advanced server install.

What happens when you view PHP files?

It tries to download them.

But dont worry bout it, thanks for your help man. I'm just gonna reinstall the OS and do an advanced server install.

did you restart apache after changing httpd.conf?
