odd resulution issues


ok well im trying the new mepis 3.3.2 and i installed it perfectly then i configured my monitor frequencys according to the manufactures site and still my desktop is half off the screen like the resultion is to high but its not its 1024x768 But the refresh rate is only 76 its supposed to be 85 so is there any way i can fix this? thanks

so actually how would i be able to chage the refresh rate manually

you can edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf (or /etc/X11/xf86.conf - something like that if you use XFree86). You can set the monitor parameters in the monitor section of this file.

thats what i did =/ but it still insists that my max refresh rate is 76
