Odd solution to Mouse scroll wheel issues.

This is going to sound strange, but if I start X windows using Xtart, my mouse wheel does not work. If I issue startx it works perfectly fine. I just finally discovered this this morning before work, I had previously just assumed it was a randomn bug since sometimes it worked an sometimes it did not.

So anyone familiar with Xtart care to explain what exactly it does that would screw my mouse wheel settings up?

I assume its a script of some kind, but my guess is it must be specifying a different config file for X than my default or something?
