I have a minor problem with the sound my Linux Box there's no bass & treble controls in any of the mixers (Kmix, Gmix, Auxim, etc) I have, I looked at all of the options but can't find anything that will allow me to add some more bass to my MP3z.
Cool, I think I found what you are looking for. This is the page with the info, I read it to say that unless you have kernel's 2.4.9 or .10 you should have the treble and bass control, so if you are using 2.4.18 you should be ok. And this is the page with the download link. It is the emutools you are looking for not the driver.
also, you may need to "turn on " the eq, is does have On and off , and is normally very noticeable to changes.
Of course, the above is probably more on target, but maybe not...
