my clock is UTC???


While my BIOS clock and Windows clock seems to tell the right time, my linux clock, which I have set to sync via NTP is giving me Greenwich time, 7 hours ahead...I don't know how to fix this...help!!!

See if you have the command "/usr/sbin/timeconfig". I'm not sure if this command is specific to slackware.

i think in /etc/sysconfig/clock you should have:
UTC=false.

here's mine:

# Begin /etc/sysconfig/clock

ZONE="America/Los_Angeles"
UTC=false
ARC=false

# End /etc/sysconfig/clock
