in /etc/X11/xorg.conf :
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Mouse0"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
Option "Emulate3Buttons" "yes"
EndSection

Thanks

hi there,

i don't know much about kde but i don't think upgrading it would have messed your mouse options in xorg.conf.
i think must be somewhere in kde an option concerning scrolling..
control center - setup - somewhere....

hi there,

sorry mate.. can't help further.. i don't know kde...
my only idea is that you edit your xorg.conf file as following..
Code:
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Mouse0"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
Option "Buttons" "5"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
EndSection
like i said before, i don't believe that kde would have messed with your Xorg options..
sorry

regards

My mouse setup is different from yours:
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Mouse1"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "ExplorerPS/2"
Option "Device" "/dev/mouse"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "6 7"
EndSection

I noticed the ZAxisMapping is different. I think that line effects the scrolling, but I don't know if it's due to a different protocol.

If you are using Fedora and above which uses the X.Org server over XFree86, then you might find some info at

Hope this helps.
