If you don't have any data on the disk, you can simply partition it using fdisk(8) or parted(8)
and then format the partitions using mkfs(8). A convenient layout is to have a
vfat or ntfs partition to share data with Windows machines and another partition with a native
Linux format such as ext3-4,xfs or jfs. To facilitate mounting the partitions, you can add them to
/etc/fstab(5) with their label or uuid.
If you have data on the disk, you should check your kernel version with uname -a and inspect the content of
/proc/filesystems. Reasonably recent versions of Linux are able to access ntfs filesystems. If your kernel
does not support ntfs, you should check whether you have the proper kernel module installed, and if not
install it from the Fedora repo (or from ElRepo).
did you try google before asking? what have you tried? what have you done, what has happened, what errors are you getting, what distro are you using, are you trying to mount via the automagically mount in a GUI, if so what GUI, are you trying to manually mount via CLI as user? if so then stop using user and su - to root and do the job properly.
