External Hard Drive not Mounting

I accidentally re-formatted my external Hard Drive while installing Fedora 12 (it doesn't really matter as I've got the stuff backed up on a series of DVDs). But now I have Fedora working, The hard drive won't mount, and doesn't appear in the Computer folder.

By the way it's a 500GB Hitachi but I don't know the model.

#su
<root passwd>
#parted -l

will list all partitions

create a suitable fstab entry

or look within system administration for automatic mount
