mountind a cd


havin a problem mounting cds
mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdroms/cdrom0 /mnt/cdrom/
mount: block device /dev/cdroms/cdrom0 is write-protected, mounting read-only
but i can't see anything

in the past i also got an error saying that it can't locate locate nls_iso8859-1 module

any ideas?

What does your fstab file look like ?? And are you mounting as a regular user or have you tried mounting as root ??

i have tried mounting it both ways.
Here is the fstab file

/dev/hda1 /boot ext3 noauto,noatime
1 1
/dev/hda3 / ext3 noatime
0 0
/dev/hda2 none swap sw
0 0
/dev/cdroms/cdrom0 /mnt/cdrom iso9660 noauto,ro
0 0
proc /proc proc defaults
0 0

Try just typing:

mount /mnt/cdrom

Than throw in the CD and open the Grip utility and Rip the songs to your HD.
