mail problem: not showing read messages (sendmail+RH9+IMAP)

i noticed this morning that old messages are missing when i check my mail on both squirrilmail and in my mail client (thunderbird)

receiving new messages works and hte new message stays in mailbox till its read, then after 10 minuites disappears. the emails are still on the server and accessible when i use pine.

Any idea whats going on? i think it might be a IMAP problem? or sendmail quirkiness?

(im using sendmail, IMAP, squirrilmail on redhat 9 )

this might be a problem of your mail client configuration, because you said your messages are still available on the server when using pine.
