lpadmin: add-printer (set-model) failed

I am running a sles 9 server and trying to setup some printers on it. I am using cups. I have been able to setup 2 HP printers successfully. I am now trying to setup an epson DFX5000 Dot matrix printer and not having much luck. I am using the command:
lpadmin -p fin5000 -E -v socket://eps-0e72d0 -m epson9.ppd

This epson is connected to a lantronix box via parallel cable. The error that I am getting is:
lpadmin: add-printer (set model) failed: server-error-internal-error.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I checked the cupsd.conf file and it is using the default which is the host name of the server. I checked the host file and that has the correct name of the server. However I was wondering if any one new where I could get a ppd file for an Epson DFX 5000. I am not sure if this will help my problem or not.
