Eee PC 701 + 8G model`Add/RemoveSW' Updating problems, many errors SURF model, not 8G
Errors whenever Asus 701 (4gb SSD) attempts to read `Top RAM' 4GB SD card 150X. Occurs on S/U of unit & again if card removed, then reinstalled.
During use of Asus automatic updating service (?) Add/Remove SoftWare' under `Settings' tab am encountering errors.
Dictionary ~Unpacking replacement xlex...dpkg: error
Not sure if SW or HW problem on this 701 w/ upgraded memory[2GB of GeIL 667 from NewEgg}. Anti-Virus also no longer runs after I updated using function above!

The stock Xandros kernel isn't compiled with high-mem support, so anything over 1 GB of physical RAM can be problematic. I am not 100% sure it would actually cause the software problems you are seeing now, but I know for a fact that you won't be utilizing the RAM you paid for either, so it is worth sorting out in either event. To enable high-mem support, you will need to recompile the kernel.
Here is a guide for compiling with high-mem support (ignore the part about about LVM, obviously).
As for the SD issue, have you checked if the card is a SDHC? There are some non-SDHC 4 GB SD cards, which in general don't work very well since they are outside of the SD spec. If the card isn't SDHC, then that is almost certainly the problem.
