How did you create the user?

Log in as root and see what the file permissions are on /home/aivo

What distro are you using?

I'm a bit stumped right now, but depending on what tools you have available, lets see what we can find.

Ok, can you get to a gui?

I'm just wondering what would happen if you added another user using a different method. If that user works properly then the problem maybe with useradd (ie: maybe the syntax you used is a problem...I'm not too familiar with it myself)

Then try creating a second user.

Also, I just noticed...is there any reason why you're double posting? You really shouldn't do that.
