Angry Linux Help


How to open or restore backup file in Redhat Linux created with date and time. I am using a map generator software, it save a backup file of every change with date and time, but im unable to know how to restore these files when original file damaged or deleted.

You don't specify which version of Red Hat you are using, so I will assume you are using RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux). In which case, you are paying for a license and support. I suggest you pose that question to Red Hat.

Each application uses its own file formats. Without knowing the application that creates the backup file, nobody can tell you how to open or restore it.
