I just installed Mandrake 9,2 and erased all windows.......... so that's why I don't need lilo, how to erase it?
also, when I start my comp, it always does probes about my ethernet card (but I never use it) and it takes just too long, how to tell my system to overpass that?

restarted......... now I don't have a loader, have to reinstall all over again.
Actually I'm not pissed, not even a little mad....... it has happened to me a lot of times, just one more thing to learn from.... but I keep the question
How to load Linux DIRECTLY without lilo or a menu to choose from?
You'd typically use a bootloader of some sort - however - you can change the timeout settings and default settings in LILO so Linux automatically boots after say 1 second of the lilo menu coming up..
