KMYFirewall uninstall and KDE 3.2 Install

Hi ,

I recently installed KDE GUI the latest version overwriting what comes with the Fedora Install.
I installed all the packages as a root user. Now after installation there are 2 issues.

a). When i log in as root then my KDE desktop has all the new features including icons and so on. However when i log in as a normal user of the system say by userid radsy90 i still see the old KDE desktop with none of the new features. WHat should i do / have done to make sure the same KDE desktop features comes up for all users irrespective of whose logged on.

b). When i did the install i actually did a rpm--force on most of the packages because i received so many conflicts with previously installed packages. Now i try to open a firewall software called KMyFirewall and i get a conflict with some file. The fun part is that i am unable to remove the KMyFIrewall software from my system. When i give rpm-e <package name>, it does not work Gives me the error cannot find package. However rpm -u the same package name says its already installed. I just simply want to totally take off KMyFIrewall from my system and am not able to do it.. Can anybody provide any insights on how to do this ??

Regards ,
Pradhip.S

Package Name and FIlename are different. If you have a package named "blahblah-5.5.5-2.i386.rpm" the package name is just "blahblah", or if you ignored errors indicating that it was a bad idea and forced two versions of the same package to be installed at the same time, "blahblah-5.5.5-2".

Not sure about the menus though.
