Question Kernel Won't Uncompress (Fedora Core 3)

I did some hard drive re-arranging on my system. It's a dual-boot XP/FC3 rig with FC3 on it's own HD. It's the primary drive on the secondary controller and I didn't move it or add another drive to that controller. During POST and just before the HD detection, I hit F8 and am able to select which drive to boot from. Worked fine until yesterday when, as I said, I moved some of the other drives around.

During the boot process, I get the message about GRUB loading the FC3 kernel and then I see "Decompressing Kernel". At this point it freezes.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Cheers

Originally where was grub installed to? MBR, if so, is Linux still on the secondary controller of the primary IDE channel? And what happend to the master on the primary controller? Did it change? Sounds to me you probably need to boot up with a rescue cd and reconfigure grub, etc.
