kali linux networking on the SS-808 mini pc
Hi! I'm a longtime Linux user and just want to do something with my old SS-808 Android TV stick that is simple for any Linux distro and especially from what I read about kali. What I want to do is set up kali on my SS-808 to just stream pandora music using pianobar. I checked in a wheezy repo and saw that the pianobar package is available with apt-get. What I also want to do is use another Android device and an app called pianobar remote. I've already done this on a netbook running Ubuntu and know what needs to be done. In order for the network remote to work I need to allow ssh to operate within kali once the wifi is activated.
So, I already have the kali image installed and working on my SS-808. I just need to know how to get my wifi chip going so that I can use apt-get to start installing packages. I did read in the Kali document (book) that internet activity is disabled by default to make kali more secure. Since I'm not paying any bills with my SS-808 and just want to stream music, security is not my concern. I just want to use kali as a headless server which I cannot figure out with picuntu (although people have done it).
Can anybody help me accomplish these goals with kali?
This may just be something not secure and so kali would not be the right linux distro for this. I've gotten Picuntu 4.5 working on this ARM device as well, but I don't think it would work well as a headless server. Is there another linux distro I should try on the SS-808? I think a CLI distro would be good as I won't need an X session.

well the first thing is to uninstall all the "cracking" software
and you will not need any of the CUDA and OpenCL programs
Kali 1.0.7 is a very special purpose built OS with ONE main purpose cracking networks
Any additional repositories added to the Kali sources.list file will most likely BREAK YOUR KALI LINUX INSTALL.
Kali is not Debian, mixing in Debian repositories will break your system. If you want to install software from Debian repositories you better install Debian.

I thought kali was using Debian Wheezy repos by default...at least the main one. I wasn't going to add any repos but I don't want to removing cracking software with the hopes to make it do what I want it for. Another distro would be a lot easier to use. Thing is that I've only found 2 Linux distros that have already compiled ARM images for a micro-sd boot on my SS-808 (which is a RK3066 dual core ARM intended to use Android 4.1).
I did find this link on cross compiling your own Debian Wheezy kernel and image:
