Issues when installing sebek with Ubuntu 8.1

Dear All,

I have been trying to install sebek on Ubuntu 8.1 for two weeks now and I have the following error that I don't know how to resolve it:

Quote:
make
./gen_fudge.pl > ./src/fudge.h
cp ./sbk_install.sh ./src
cp ./parameters.sh ./src
cd ./src; make -C /lib/modules/2.6.27-7-generic/build SUBDIRS=/home/administrator/Desktop/sebekkk/src modules
make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.27-7-generic'
CC [M] /home/administrator/Desktop/sebekkk/src/sebek.o
In file included from /home/administrator/Desktop/sebekkk/src/sebek.h:50,

/home/administrator/Desktop/sebekkk/src/sebek.c:39: error: expected ‘=’, ‘,’, ‘;’, ‘asm’ or ‘__attribute__’ before ‘*’ token
make[2]: *** [/home/administrator/Desktop/sebekkk/src/sebek.o] Error 1
make[1]: *** [_module_/home/administrator/Desktop/sebekkk/src] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.27-7-generic'
make: *** [sebek] Error 2
Could you pls help me?

have you checked out their web page?
https://projects.honeynet.org/sebek/...0Server%207.10
their latest build/install seems to be for Ubuntu SERVER 7.10
and you have to ...
Quote:
2. Edit the sbk_install.sh script as required.
looks like latest sebek program runs on linux 2.4 kernels and you seem to be installing on 2.6 kernels...
check for compatibility with sebek
