I've been having issues since the 3.4 kenel with
gam_server getting into disk sleep and freezing up other things. Some of the google research I've seen seems to suggest it might have something to do with nfs shares. I have them in my fstab as:

has the correct way to do this changed since the old days when I found this example? Thanks!
