Is this the best way to auto-mount nfs to a certain directory?

I've been having issues since the 3.4 kenel with gam_server getting into disk sleep and freezing up other things. Some of the google research I've seen seems to suggest it might have something to do with nfs shares. I have them in my fstab as:

#added by Eric for share drive
babyluigi.mushroomkingdom:/fileshares /media/nfs/babyluigi nfs rsize=1024,wsize=1024,auto,users 0 0
babyluigi.mushroomkingdom:/media/xbmc /media/nfs/xbmc-mount nfs rsize=1024,wsize=1024,auto,users 0 0

has the correct way to do this changed since the old days when I found this example? Thanks!
