IRC Server On Mandrake?

Hello,

I'm a noob to Linux and was hoping someone can help me out. I recently installed Mandrake 9.1 and was wondering how i would go about setting up an IRC server on it? Does anyone know of some fairly simple sites i can visit to download the software and help me confgure it?

Probably the two IRCD servers I'd recommend is dancer-ircd and or hybrid-ircd. I don't have their direct links right now but a quick google search and you'll probably find where to download. There isn't much documentation online from what I've found in installing them but both their README and INSTALL files are usually pretty detailed.
