Internet connection requires graphical button press
Hi there,
So here at work, I am using a raspberry pi to build a project. I have an issue, though, the company has just made it so that you have to click a button on a web page to be able to access the internet. Unfortunately I am not running a GUI, which makes apt-get impossible.
Is there a way to send a command to set the button to true, so that I can carry on working at work.
DISCLAIMER: The situation is strange, it's a very large company, the project I am working on is customer facing, customer include all major shareholders and CEO so must happen IT cannot help but have agreed that if I know how to set the button click to True, I can do this. I am not trying to hack the network, and can completely justify my actions.

Is this at all possible?
Yes, you could use curl and POST to post the results of the form as though you'd clicked a button or checked a box, or anything.
However, you'll have to work out for yourself, or with your IT department, on exactly what you need to send in order to validate their form.
I also find it strange that if this is such a "high profile" project your IT department can't assign a static IP by MAC address to your RasPi and give that an exception from this form filling.

Ditto. And it is perfectly acceptable to ask under this circumstance, in my experience.
eg: Asking is not "unusual".
Thanks, I think I should be able to work it out, currently all it is is a single web page with a label and a button, so hopefully, I should be able to find it from the source code of the page? I have a little bit of experience of POST from using couchdb, which funnily enough is the pi that needs connecting thank you, I will look into it.
@TenTenths, yes, you are spot on, why aren't the IT department helping, well, it's been a battle since I started, I am the only IT person in a company of over 2000 people that is no part of the IT department, I am also the only person that uses linux. It's a long story, I have asked and asked, and what has come back is that the IT department are not to help me with anything to do with Linux. So my only support is Documentation and any help that I can get from the forums.
